Manasseh, the writer's great/ great grand father, was married twice. First to Alice Crossley on 3/1/1852 at Ribchester, Lancashire (she is the mother of Mary Alice the writer's great/ grand mother) they had 5 children

Manasseh's second wife was Mary Ann Walley, they married at Ribchester in 1860 the same year his first wife died. They had 8 children

Mary Alice Baron married a Thomas Conner in 1881. She was the mother of William Henry Baron, the writers grandfather, who was born out of wedlock 1878 she also had a daughter called Agnes also born out of wedlock.

William Henry Baron married Margaret Butler in 1899 at St Judes, Preston. They had 14 children
