GREAT HARWOOD

Windsor Road Recreation Ground
( BOTTOM REC. )

This land was donated by Mrs. Helen Trappes Lomax and Mrs. Helen Howell and was to be used for "no other purpose than those of recreation and enjoyment". They also stipulated that there had to be no building of any kind except perhaps a caretaker's hut.

The east wall of Albion Mill and St. Lawrence Mill chimney form the background.
Playground, Albion Mill and the last chimney

There is a children's playground the rest of the area is used
for general recreation and unorganised sports and games.
